TAKE PART IN THE EXPERIMENT
Clone4ever: Primitives
You can take part in the excitement and see what happens when two digital entities are given a world, memory, actions, time, and possibilities. We are building the experiment to find out.
01
Your experiment begins with two entities.
Two independent digital entities enter the same shared world with things they can sense, actions they can take, and experience they can carry forward. From the beginning, you are not watching a prerecorded demonstration. You are administering an experiment whose history starts developing on your computer.
- Two independent entities develop side by side while maintaining their own continuing experience.
- 42 primitive actions give them ways to move, alter the shared world, produce sound, interact with permitted computer activity, and do nothing at all.
- Persistent memory and lifetime allow yesterday to remain part of what exists today.
- One shared environment gives both entities access to objects and events they may encounter in different ways.
- You control the permissions that determine which interactions with your computer are allowed.
02
Time turns a demonstration into an adventure.
Primitives is designed to continue. Memory, lifetime, shared-world activity, and experimental history persist so small moments can become part of a much larger record. Day one matters because day thirty still carries the history that came before it.
You can leave the experiment running, return later, and discover that thousands of actions have become something you can compare across hours, days, and weeks. Differences between the two entities can become visible. Repeated interactions can stand out. Patterns can strengthen, weaken, disappear, or surprise you.
You get the experience before it becomes somebody else's summary. The most interesting part is what unfolds inside your own installation.
03
See something most people have never had the chance to watch.
Primitives gives you a front-row seat to a long-running digital experiment. The entities begin intentionally simple, and the value comes from watching real history accumulate instead of being shown a polished result after the fact.
- Recurring behavior can become visible as thousands of individual actions accumulate.
- Two entities exposed to the same world can begin showing different histories and patterns.
- Shared objects can become points of repeated activity without anyone scripting their importance in advance.
- Later phases can expand expression, interaction, memory use, and reasoning while preserving the history already created.
- Observer-only research displays help you separate interesting patterns from coincidence without feeding those conclusions back into the entities.
04
We leave room for the unexpected.
Primitives is not built around a prewritten personality that tells each entity what it is supposed to become. The experiment deliberately avoids turning every action into a designer-authored reward, punishment, friendship, rivalry, or preferred outcome.
We provide capabilities, a shared environment, memory, consequences, and time. Research instruments stay outside the entities' cognition so measurement does not quietly become instruction.
- You administer the laboratory while the entities create the continuing record.
- You decide the permissions while their internal history remains their own.
- You follow the same entities through the phases instead of restarting with a fresh demonstration each time.
